President's Welcome & Message

Dear Fellow Members & Guest;

First let me take this opportunity to welcome you to the Mississippi Firefighter’s Association website. We hope that you will find it beneficial, and a source for pertinent information.

This year will mark 97 years since the MFFA was first established in 1923. We honor & remember the past, and look forward to a great & prosperous future! As we move forward into 2020, I hope that this will be a safe year for the firefighters of our great state. As President of this great association, it continues to be the highest honor & privilege to serve you and to continue with the traditions of our association by providing strong leadership and professionalism as I come in contact with the great people of our state representing our Association. 2020 will be another very busy year for our association as we work to best serve & represent you, Mississippi's Firefighters! We will continue to advocate for & lobby for common sense legislation that will support the firefighters of our state, your families and our association.

With 2020 comes a new administration, both in the Governor's Office & Lieutenant Governor's Office. We have an already strong relationship with both Governor Reeves & Lt. Governor Hoseman, and we will continue to maintain these strong connections, to better represent & support our state's Fire Service!

Our 2020 Summer Conference is already shaping up to be another great one!. Tupelo & the BanCorp South Arena will be our host this year, and they have some great activities in store for those in attendance. This summers conference is sure to be an exciting one, with additional training opportunities being discussed and prepared for you our attendees to take advantage of! I look forward to seeing many of you there. Please see the posted registration forms & host hotel information on our site and make your plans to join us! Who knows, you might even see Elvis while you are there!

Again, I remain humbled & honored to continue to serve as President of our great association! It is a position that I do not take lightly, and I remain dedicated to representing you as best I can, each & everyday. I work daily to move our association forward, and provide the leadership that you and our great association deserve. We have accomplished so very much over these past 8 years, and I know that there is still more that we can accomplish together!
